Terms of Service
Last updated: March 28, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SlideForge API, MCP server, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Smart Data Brokers GmbH ("we", "us", "Company"), a company registered in Zurich, Switzerland. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Service Description
SlideForge is an API-first slide generation service that produces PowerPoint (.pptx) files from natural language descriptions or structured data. The Service includes a REST API, MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, web console, and documentation.
3. Accounts and API Keys
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys and account credentials. You must not share API keys or allow unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Pricing and Payment
The Service uses a prepaid wallet model. You purchase credit that is consumed per action (slide render, creative generation, iteration). Prices are listed on our pricing page. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice. Charges are post-success only — you are never charged for failed generations. Wallet credit is non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls
- Submit content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on third-party rights
- Reverse engineer the Service or attempt to extract source code
- Resell access to the Service without written authorization
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free trial credits
6. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service (briefs, data, themes). You own the output files (.pptx, .png) generated by the Service. We retain ownership of the Service, its code, templates, and infrastructure. We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve the Service.
7. AI and Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party AI models (including products from Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Mistral) to process your briefs and generate slides. Your input text is sent to these providers for processing. We maintain Data Processing Agreements with all AI providers. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
8. Availability and Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific output quality. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your API keys will be revoked and your generated files will be deleted after 30 days. Remaining wallet credit is non-refundable except where required by Swiss law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Zurich, Switzerland.
